Ilmac Lausanne 2024 – The largest meeting place of the chemical and life sciences industry in French-speaking Switzerland

On September 18 and 19, 2024, decision-makers from the entire life science industry value chain will come together to enjoy Ilmac 2024 at Expo Beaulieu Lausanne. The industry event for chemistry, pharmacy and biotechnology in French-speaking Switzerland offers a personal platform to gain inspiration, network and share knowledge. The Ilmac Lausanne event takes place every two years, alternating with Ilmac Basel, which was founded in 1959 as the Swiss exhibition for international laboratory, measurement and automation technology in the chemical industry. Since then, Ilmac has evolved from a pure laboratory exhibit into a comprehensive industry event. This is reflected in the value proposition “Inspiring the Future of Chemistry and Life Sciences”, which Ilmac will definitely deliver on this year in Lausanne.

Comprehensive Trade Fair

The placement concept has been modernised and aims to create a clear arrangement of the specialist areas. Ilmac 2024 covers the main areas of pharmaceuticals and chemicals, biotechnology and the food industry. 180 exhibitors will present their innovative applications, systems and services in the field of laboratory / biotechnology and process technology, as well as for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries on 5,400 square meters. Exhibitors will also be focusing on cross-cutting topics such as digitisation, process optimisation and sustainability. Visitors can find new ideas and solutions, trends and innovations for their everyday working life.

Top-Class Ilmac Conference

A top-quality program has been developed for the Ilmac Conference, in collaboration with the Swiss Chemical Society (SCS), Bio Alps and the Swiss Biotech Association (SBA). The very best national and international speakers will address the trends and challenges currently affecting the industry. The first day focuses on Food Chemistry, the second day on Laboratory 4.0. The high-quality Conference strives to promote scientific transfer and provides impetus during round table discussions, startup pitches and presentations. Appealing Formats

The Startup Area is the perfect place for newcomers from various fields such as Biotech, Lab Tech, Software and Cybersecurity. All the young enterprises participating will also present their interesting approaches and innovations on the large conference stage – a springboard for the startups and added value for the audience.

The Job Connect format will be interactive for the first time. In an exclusive “Meet & Greet Zone”, companies will have the opportunity to meet their potential candidates in person and showcase themselves as employers in a relaxed environment.

All-Inclusive Networking

The Ilmac Networking Lunch, held on both days of the trade fair, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., is free of charge for everyone and a great opportunity to enjoy a delicious lunch with like-minded people, business partners and potential customers over a glass of wine.

The Networking Aperitif will take place on the first day of the trade fair from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Guests can enjoy music, chilled drinks and finger food, to close off the first day of the event in a relaxed atmosphere.
