MedtecLIVE 2024 – Versatile programme along the entire value chain

In addition to practical and scientific contributions, visitors can expect guided tours, a start-up competition for the most innovative ideas, and a unique treasure hunt.

The MedtecLIVE medical technology trade fair invites you to Stuttgart with an extensive programme. The focus is on the entire value chain of medical technology production and development. Over 70 speakers will contribute to the lecture programme across two forums, providing exciting insights for the industry's development. Topics range from digitalisation and automation to artificial intelligence and quality assurance, procurement, and sales.

Strong partners for a comprehensive programme

The programme of MedtecLIVE is supported by some of the industry's most important associations, alongside other partners: Bayern Innovativ, Bitkom, the German Association for Supply Chain Management, Procurement, and Logistics (BME), the German Medical Technology Association (BVMed), EIT Health, Medical Mountains, Medical Valley, VDE, VDMA, and ZVEI. These partners will focus on topics such as AI, automation, sustainability, regulation, start-ups, and young talents, among other key areas shaping the future of the industry.

Keynote lectures and panel discussions, such as “Digitalisation and AI for a faster and safer regulatory process”, “Challenges in the development of medical devices”, “Quo vadis, PFAS? Positions and perspectives for medical technology”, “AI in MedTech between the AI Act and MDR”, or “From 5G to 6G? Networked medical technology for the healthcare of tomorrow”, are particularly well-received by visitors and have already attracted numerous registrations.

Experience companies and solutions up close

Further highlights of the MedtecLIVE programme are guided tours on the key topics of the trade fair: automation, digitalisation, and circular economy. On the guided tour ‘Medizintechnik weitergeDACHt,’ experts from the Medtech Cluster Alliance D-A-CH will guide participants to interesting exhibitors from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, supporting the realisation of new products and solutions.

Stage for innovative start-ups

The excitement is rising for founders, young companies, and interested professionals: alongside the ‘Young Innovators’ joint stand and the international start-up area ‘International Innovators,’ the start-up contest START HEALTHCARE will take place on 18 June at 2:30 PM at the forum in the exhibition hall. The sponsor, EIT Health, an independent organization of the European Union that promotes innovation and entrepreneurship across Europe, is providing a total of 9,000 euros in prize money for the winners. In addition, Medical Valley supports the international start-up participations and organisation of the start-up competition. The Start-ups will be judged by a distinguished jury from the industry, key start-up clusters, associations, and founding experts.

Football fever at MedtecLIVE 2024

Numerous networking events offer the opportunity to discuss the latest industry trends in a relaxed atmosphere and make new contacts. “After the great feedback on our trade fair party last year, we will also be organising a great social event on the second day of the trade fair in Stuttgart this year. As the European Football Championship is taking place at the same time, I can reveal that it will revolve around football,” says Christopher Boss, Managing Director of MedtecLIVE GmbH and Executive Director of the event.

The exhibitors are also dedicating some of their programme points to football fever. Nine companies are jointly organising a kind of treasure hunt that will show the steps leading up to the delivery of a medical product. Other exhibitors will offer table football, beers from participating European Championship countries, fan scarves, and raffles.
