CWS Cleanrooms acquires Dutch cleanroom cleaning specialist WERO

CWS Cleanrooms, a company of the CWS Group, has acquired WERO, a Dutch company specialised in cleaning services for buildings and cleanrooms. This further expands the international portfolio in cleaning services in the highly specialised cleanroom segment. WERO is sold by BRECON Group BV, a leading company for the construction and operation of cleanrooms in the Netherlands. The closing of the deal was completed on Wednesday, March 31 2021. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

"CWS Cleanrooms is Europe's first provider of complete cleanroom solutions. With the acquisition of WERO, we are expanding our offering in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg to include further cleaning and training services," Markus Schad, Regional Managing Director Cleanrooms & Healthcare at CWS Cleanrooms, stated regarding the deal. "We will continue to maintain business relationships with BRECON Group, from whom we bought 100 percent of the shares, and jointly serve existing customers. We are looking forward to working together."

WERO already has 30 years of experience in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg and is an established specialist for cleaning services in cleanrooms and associated areas. Its portfolio includes regular cleaning services under cleanroom conditions, which includes the entire range of cleaning tasks for all ISO-3 to ISO-9 certified cleanroom classes. Those are required by the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, microelectronics and healthcare sectors, among others. The portfolio also includes project cleaning, such as cleaning of new buildings.

BRECON Group BV is one of the leading organisations in Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg offering turnkey controlled environment facilities, such as Cleanrooms. In addition to services in and around the cleanroom, the product range also includes training in this particular sector.
