M+W Zander: First Photovoltaik order from Italy

Planning, installation and start-up of the supply systems for test specification factory of SOLSONICA S.p.A. The M+W Zander Italia S.r.I. received the first order for a Photovoltaik(PV) factory in Italy. The order comes from SOLSONICA S.p.A., a reestablishment of the EEMS group active in the global semiconductor market (www.eems.it). It plans that M+W Zander transfers the planning and mechanism of the entire en and waste disposal facilities with the partial change of a semiconductor to a Photovoltaikfabrik. That reaches gas and electricity supply from chemistry -, up to compressed air and water plants. Partner enterprises are thereby the companies air Product Italia S.r.l. and Sapio Produzione Idrogeno e Ossigeno S.r.l. on approximately 3,500 square meters production and additional 2,000 square meters of service surface want SOLSONICA at the location Rieti (approximately 80 kilometers of Rome) starting from 2008 polycrystallines solar cells to manufacture.Also the production plants from EEMS are in Rieti. In the first stage of development an annual production is intended by 30 megawatts. Production is to start center 2008. Later production extensions on up to 120 megawatts maximum performance per year are already considered when planning. Starting from January 2008 installation and connection of the machines and test runs are intended. "Italy is for us a very important market." Marktforschungsinstitut EuPD Research (www.eupd research.com) had presented in the spring 2007 a study over the Photovoltaik market of Italy and therein for 2008 an annex of 150 megawatts maximum performance had prognosticated.
