For the various cleanroom workstations of the TROLLEY series, customers of Systec & Solutions can now choose a Li-ion/ LiFePO4 battery, which offers them extreme durability, more efficiency, lower costs and better environmental compatibility.

The new battery technology offers customers numerous benefits. Li-ion/LiFePO4 batteries have a much longer service life. Compared to conventional AGM batteries, for example, six to ten times more charging cycles are possible. If used correctly, the service life of the Li-ion/LiFePO4 battery is well over ten years. Specifically, this means that even after more than 7,000 cycles with 80 percent DOP (Depth of Discharge) the battery still has 70 percent capacity remaining. As a result, it is not necessary to replace the battery during a TROLLEY’s usage period. From a long-term perspective, these batteries are therefore a much more cost-effective option.

Looking at environmental aspects, Li-ion/LiFePO4 batteries offer further benefits. The significantly longer service life saves valuable resources and results in less special waste to be recycled. In addition, the batteries do not contain lead.
The Li-ion/LiFePO4 batteries are equipped with a battery management system (BMS). This is an integrated electronic system that protects the battery against overheating, for example, and ensures safety through an internal protective shut off. They also offer a constant capacity and efficiency regardless of the discharge current and temperature.

Li-ion/LiFePO4 batteries are available for all TROLLEY versions. Depending on the intended purpose, batteries of various sizes are available, delivering a power supply for mobile use over one to three shifts. The customer can choose between the 12 V / 50 Ah and the 12 V / 100 Ah version.
