M+W Zander provides study for world largest biomass gasification plant
Plant for 100 megawatts gas achievement in Goeteborg planned
Stuttgart, 6 September 2007 the M+W Zander FE GmbH received the order
for a study from the Swedish power supplier Goeteborg Energi STARTING
FROM to the building a biomass gasification plant in Goeteborg. The
Stuttgart plant farmer is to point therein realization possibilities
out for a planned thermochemical plant with 100 megawatts gas
achievement. The study should be final to end of the yearly. An
important point of the study will be as high an efficiency of the
planned 100 megawatts as possible plant. For this reason M+W Zander
with the companies Repotec environmental technology GmbH in Vienna as
well as CTU co-operates - Conzepte technology environment AG in
Winterthur. Thus the individual steps of fermentation gas production
in natural gas quality can be integrated to an economic total
conception.To the substantial process steps belong to the fermentation gas
production the biomass gasification, different cleaning stages as well
as the Methanierung, so that the synthetic gas can be fed into the gas
net. As biomass with this project primarily remainder wood from the
forests of the region is used. M+W Zander has experiences with
different fermentation gas Herstellungsverfahren. Goeteborg Energi

of pollution free energy production and in addition to be ' green Gas'
concept developed. It plans to go back the employment of natural gas
in the future gradually and instead fermentation gas increases into
the gas net to feed. The production of fermentation gas gains
world-wide significance. However in Germany there are approximately
3500 biological gas facilities according to data of the professional
association fermentation gas. They produce approximately five billion
