AMD sets Dresden with the development of the location on M+W Zander
- conversion of Fab 30 on Fab 38 - Hook UP for Bump test buildings and
Fab 36 for the finishing works at its location Dresden sets the
semiconductor manufacturer AMD on plant farmer the M+W Zander FE GmbH
as a general purchaser. In addition received Stuttgart enterprises the
order to support AMD during the conversion of its Dresdner of
semiconductor work Fab 30 to the Fab 38 with current enterprise. In
addition M+W Zander transfers an attaching of the utility systems to
the machinery (Hook UP) of the new Bump test building and the
extensions to AMDs existing 300mm work Fab 36. The new semiconductor
work Fab 38 is to result from the fundamental reorganization of the
past work Fab 30. The production of the new factory will take place in
the future on 300-Millimeter-Waferscheiben, while Fab at present
manufactures 30 microprocessors on wafer disks of 200 millimeters of
diameters. With the conversion Fab 38 will contribute substantially to the
planned capacity increase at the location Dresden. M+W Zander is
responsible with this project, which is accomplished during the
current enterprise, in particular for the disassembly of the past and
the installation of the new machines. The project management covers
planning, purchase of Nachunternehmerleistungen, Controlling,
disassembly, removal as well as installation and connection of
machines and devices. The M+W Zander project team works with the
co-ordination team on sides of AMD zusammen. M+W Zander closely
received the order among other things because of co-operation with AMD
in Dresden, tested in numerous past projects. Thus the works Fab 30
and Fab 36 with support of M+W Zander already developed as general
purchasers. In Germany AMD is one of the largest international
investors of the past decade.AMDs commitment in Dresden contributed to establish the region as
prominent center of microelectronics in Europe. Into that
technologically and technically leading semiconductor works Fab 30 and
Fab 36 AMD on 200 and 300-Millimeter-Wafern produces its successful
processor families for Desktop and applications of mobiles, servers
and workstations. Fab 38, AMDs recent investment in Dresden, results
from a fundamental reorganization of the past 200-Millimeter of work
Fab 30 and an extension of production on 300-Millimeter wafer. In the
course of this project AMD furnished a further pure space building for
Bump and test activities. Over M+W Zander (www.mw zander.com): The M+W
Zander participation GmbH offers an holistic power spectrum with
its subsidiary companies world-wide approximately around High Tech
production plants and buildings.Main points of work are appropriate for Pharma in electronics -, solar
-, -, chemistry and energy industry as well as research
establishments, in production of pure space components as well as in
the Facility management. 2006 was gained with approximately 7700
coworkers about 1.76 billion conversion. The M+W Zander FE GmbH is
active an enterprise of the M+W Zander group operating world-wide and
in Europe as well as the Mediterranean area. The power spectrum covers
the planning and the building of Hightech plants for customers from
the semiconductor and flat screen production, the
Photovoltaikindustrie and the energy sector.
