Exhaust disposal from electrolytic water purification processes
Abgasentsorgung aus elektrolytischen Wasseraufbereitungsprozessen
Water treatment on the safe page electrode ionization (EDI) and
electrolytic ozone production became generally accepted in the water
purification due to its chemistry-free process engineering. From the
cathodic reaction hydrogen results with these processes. Since
hydrogen air mixtures are combustible over a far concentration range,
the exhaust gas stream must be sufficiently diluted either by an
efficient and exhaust or be exhausted by explosion-proof exit gas
lines into the free. Christian offers now with the patented catalytic
exhaust converter a reliable solution to Hydrokat. Its heart is a
catalytic burner with automatic oxygen supply as well as integrated
temperature control. Thus Hydrokat can convert hydrogen oxygen
mixtures in arbitrary composition controlled and completely. The electrolytic ozone generators of the Steritron row, as they come
for example with Loopo Kompaktracks for Pharma Verteilsysteme to the
employment, can be equipped without further preparation with the
Hydrokat burner. Osmotron plants need a Hydrokat deaerator for the
off-gas treatment additionally. This combines two functions: On the
one hand it separates the electrode gases from the EDI
Elektrodenspuelwasser, on the other hand converts it the detonating
gas mixture controlled in water vapour. The Hydrokat concept offers
several advantages in relation to usual venting systems: The place of
assembly of the water treatment plants can be selected now without
consideration for special or bleed devices. The renouncement of mobile
parts ensures security and reliability while handling the detonating
gas mixture. When independent component conceives, the installation of the Hydrokat
does not require interferences in the wiring or controlling of the
water treatment plant. Thus the catalytic exhaust converter can be
re-tooled also with existing plants easily. Maintenance costs for
Hydrokat are limited to the precautionary exchange of the catalyst
employment in the context of annual plant maintenance. Caption: The
