M+W Zander modernizes semiconductor production in white Russia
More modern equipment for NPO integral in Minsk the M+W Zander FE
GmbH, Stuttgart, received a 28-Millionen-Euro-Auftrag for the
modernization of production with the Byelorussian semiconductor
manufacturer NPO integral. The modernization is to be final in the
middle of 2008 and make possible the production of microchip on
200-Millimeter-Wafern. In addition M+W Zander supplies more modern
production plants for the 0.35 micrometers technology from the
European union and provides for attaching machinery to the supply
installations. The necessary export licence as well as a Hermes
financing by borrowing are present already. "is for M+W Zander that an
important step with the expansion into the developing Russian and
Byelorussian semiconductor market", says Martin Beigl, managing
director of M+W Zander FE.Beigl further: "with a special solution we become fair thereby the
special situation with integral: The employment general overhauled
equipment provides for a fast and strong modernization thrust in
production, considered in addition, the financial situation of the
customer." The modernization work is accomplished with M+W Zander own
coworkers as well as partner enterprises made of East Germany. For the
modernization M+W Zander in the integral - a pure space plant on
approximately 500 square meters, existing, converts work in Minsk.
After the completion NPO integral will be able to produce annually
approximately 12,000 to 14,000 wafer for customers from the
maintenance and KFZ electronics. NPO integral employs altogether
approximately 10,000 Mitarbeiter.Â
