SCHMIDT Technology brought a thermal flow sensor on the market, which is singular in its kind. It concerns an immersing probe, which can measure both the flow rate and direction of flow of air and gases. The thin feeler pipe made of high-grade steel also highly integrated electronics on microprocessor basis accommodates only 9 mm beside the sensor element. That much snaps measuring element permits response times of 10 ms. The sensor is developed, the measuring element by an aerodynamic flow chamber from mechanical load is protected reliably durably. Additionally to the analogue output the sensor has a direction as well as a threshold value exit. Over a serial interface the sensor can be programmed locally, thus can the response time and the threshold value accurately to application be adapted.Areas of application: Laminar flow monitoring in pure areas, monitoring of the back or balance current between two areas, space positive pressure control, space comfort measurements, cooling air monitoring, flow control in inert gas atmospheres, mobile flow measuring instruments, flow measurement in medicine-technical devices.
