Quick Upgrades with Ease

Weiss Technik’s latest update has enhanced its S!MPATI software, delivering superior control over environmental test systems. The 4.80 update introduces a more intuitive menu navigation along with several enhanced features. Most notably, the update can be installed alongside the existing software in just minutes, as recently showcased by Ottobock, the global leader in prosthetics.

Successful Collaboration

Ottobock and Weiss Technik have been partners for over 20 years. The health-tech company from Duderstadt is a global leader in the production of electronically controlled prostheses for people with disabilities. As an official partner of the Paralympics, Ottobock's product portfolio also includes sports prostheses.

For the manufacturing and repair of its medical technology products, Ottobock relies on Weiss Technik's climate test chambers to evaluate the electronics and mechanics under environmental stress. Each of the 12 test chambers is connected to a computer running Weiss Technik's S!MPATI software. Seamless Update

With minimal effort, Ottobock was able to successfully upgrade to the latest version of the S!MPATI software. Unlike before, the old version no longer has to be uninstalled to install the new one. The update can now be executed in parallel, eliminating interruptions, saving both time and costs. Hans Jürgen Ahlborn agrees: “We started the update and went through everything step by step. There were no delays whatsoever.”

The service coordinator is keen to emphasise: “In the past, migrating existing computer data was more complex. Everything had to be copied and backed up. Now, we simply open Weiss Technik's Migration Wizard, and with the push of a button, it transferred all data and programs into the new software version. We didn’t even need to rely on our backup files or programs for the update.”

More Features and Services

The latest version of S!MPATI brings added advantages for users like Ottobock. In addition to its more intuitive menu navigation and simplified programming, the software now offers features such as the ability to compare multiple recording archives. This allows for an accurate analysis of the behaviour of various test specimens across multiple test cycles and different systems. Another highlight is the converter, which converts external programs into the S!MPATI format, which standardises the control of test procedures and equipment.

The software is compatible with Windows 10 and 11, as well as Microsoft Windows Server 2019 and 2022. With the optional S!MPATI-Service module, the software can conveniently run as a Windows service in the background, independent of user logins and logouts, preventing any interruptions in data recording.

Even new customers benefit from the user-friendliness of the S!MPATI version 4.80.2. After downloading it from the Weiss Technik website, the software practically installs itself and can be tested on up to 99 systems for a period of six months.
