Die vier im NISP-Instrument verbauten Infrarotfilter mit Durchmessern von vier Zentimetern im Vordergrund, sowie acht und vierzehn Zentimetern im Hintergrund. Mit über 300 Gramm pro Filter sind das die größten und schwersten Infrarotfilter, die je auf einer astronomischen Weltraummission eingesetzt wurden.
