The floor covering level is the largest horizontal surface in rooms and is also subject to the most intensive mechanical stress. The application in cleanrooms requires further characteristics, above all high material/surface density in combination with minimum particle emission in accordance with the requirements of EN ISO 14644-1, among others. The maximum reduction of airborne particles is one of the central technical challenges in the construction and operation of cleanrooms.
